AM has immediate openings for Health Data Analysts to support state and local efforts to fight the COVID-19 Contact Tracing program, nationwide. No travel required. This position will begin immediately.

 

Background: The scale and complexity of the COVID-19 outbreak has underscored the need for prompt and effective implementation of evidence-based containment measures.  Contact tracing is one of the interventions that has been used to effectively control recent pandemics (Ebola, SARS), and has shown to be effective against COVID-19 mitigation in South Korea, New Zealand and elsewhere.

 

AM LLC has identified over 18,000 qualified and motivated candidates who have responded to our call to action to support COVID-19 response efforts. Our candidates are located throughout the U.S., come from a variety of backgrounds, and possess the skills and personal qualities necessary to work as Contact Tracers, Care Resource Coordinators, and Case Investigators.

 

The successful Health Data Analyst will have extensive experience collecting and cleaning healthcare data, performing analyses, and the ablity to produce requested reports using various statistical analysis software. 

Responsibilities

  • Become highly familiar with the collected COVID tracing data structure, data elements, and idiosyncrasies of data collection
  • Develop full understanding of the strengths and limitations of the data and the implications for data analyses
  • Develop statistical analysis plans in coordination with physicians and/or epidemiologist investigators on the development and production of a wide range of reports, while developing and delivering on agreed upon requirements
  • Provide consultation, as needed, regarding optimal statistical methods and analysis designs
  • Perform required data cleaning and manipulation prior to analyses
  • Identify and troubleshoot unanticipated problems with the analyses or results
  • Communicate results to investigators and generate all necessary figures and tables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferable) in biostatistics or related field (e.g., epidemiology)
  • Use modern visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau to enhance business understanding through artistic, simple, and concise data story telling
  • Minimum of 3 years of  experience in medical/clinical data manipulation and analyses
  • Strong proficiency with Tableau, PowerBI, or other statistical analysis software 
  • Strong knowledge in and experience with data mining large database systems
  • Experience designing and conducting analyses of complex health data
  • Strong English language communication skills
