Overview

Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a Security Analyst, Senior to provide on-site technical support to the Veterans Affairs (VA) administration. The successful candidate will support the Office of Information Technology (OI&T) to identify and remediate existing and future vulnerabilities.

 

The Continuous Readiness in Information Security Protection (CRISP) program began as a VA-wide initiative launched in March 2012 to address MWs by concentrating on: 

 

-Managing appropriate access control for users and reducing out-dated personnel clearances 

-Testing contingency plans for data breaches 

-Providing information security training for users, contractors, volunteers 

-Developing initial baseline configurations 

-Improving data-center web application security

 

Responsibilities

A Senior Security Analyst has experience in managing teams of security analysts. Is able to effectively leverage vast detailed knowledge and familiarity with security discipline. Has thorough knowledge of security principles, concepts, policy and regulations. is able to identify risks in security systems and work with technical experts to resolve security issues. Possess ability to identify key concepts, factors and risks based on conversations and document these in clear and concise narrative or graphic reports.

Qualifications

 

  • Master's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. and 5 years of experience
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Demonstrates strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Must work well within a time-sensitive environment

 **Experience working in Federal Government environments is preferred.**
