Overview

Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide on-site technical support to a Department of Defense ("DoD") Military Health program. 

 

The program supports the Defense Health Agency’s (“DHA’s”) development of its TRICARE Managed Care Support (“MCS”) requirements for health care support services. These services encompass customer and call center support activities, as well as referrals/authorizations and claims adjudications, among other areas, related to DoD heath care throughout the United States. Specifically, the program would provide health care support services that integrate private-sector care within the DoD direct-care system, serving approximately 9.2 million active duty personnel, active duty family members, retired military members and their families, and survivor beneficiaries. 

 

Please note: US Citizenship is required. Selected applicants will be subject to a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements and obtain Government-granted access. 

Responsibilities

Responsibliities include:

  • Ability to communicate directions and provide guidance to junior programmer/analysts, as required
  • At least six (6) years of experiece developing software using Java with at least four (4) years of this experience must have been obtained in the last seven (7) years
  • At least four (4) years of expereiene developing software for Windows (2000, 2003, XP, Vista), UNIX, and Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems with at least two (2) years of this experience must have been obtained within the last four (4) years
  • Experience planning/accomplishing goals and complicated tasks and providing consultation on complex projects as a top-level contributor or specialist
  • At least six (6) years in programming and development of application software for complex systems and software testing
  • Experience architecting, designing, developing, testing, and supporting integration of software systems with functional requirements within a CMMI Level 2 process structure
  • Experience "wrapping" legacy systems or components as Web Services within a SOA framework
  • Developing solutions to integrate and extend COTS products
  • Developing framework infrastructures and services within one of the SOA design patterns
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of a service-based framework infrastructure and services
  • Developing custom adapters to allow the integration of legacy (i.e., capabilities not developed as services) capabilities with service-based Framework infrastructure and services

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience with a Bachelors Degree or a total of 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with Spring, Git, Maven, Nexus and Jenkins
  • Experience with jQuery, AngularJS, D3.js, Bootstrap, ExtJS, Backbone.JS, Grunt, Gulp, \and experience in development within the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
  • Experience with RESTful architectures
  • At least two (2) years developing software using JavaScript programming
