    Applied Memetics LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support a mobile scheduling enhancements project. United States citizenship is required for all employees on this government contract with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.


    The Quality Assurance Engineer will work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.  The ideal candidate will participate in the full Agile application development life cycle for manual and/or automated testing and create/maintain automated tests to support overall project objectives.


    The candidate will be responsible for performing analysis and testing to ensure requirements are testable, unique, and clear and that the functions of the system under assessment meet or exceed all established requirements. He/she will actively participate in collaborative meetings with the project staff to include development teams, other test team members, and other key stakeholders. He/she will work within and across teams collecting, identifying, defining, organizing, and/or presenting detailed information and data needed to accomplish goals. The Quality Assurance Engineer will create test plans, prepare test documentation, and construct various test cases. 



    The Quality Assurance Engineer MUST HAVE:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing automated testing using Selenium / Ruby / Cucumber / RSpec
    • Knowledge and skills necessary to ensure that test environments are set up accurately with little to no assistance 
    • Testing experience supporting Section 508/web accessiblity testing
    • Experience coordinating and executing test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts
    • Ablity to create test reports
    • Ablity to test IT hardware, software, systems, and networks



    Minimum Requirements: 

    • 5 years of software testing experience 
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering / technical discipline is required.  Eight (8) years of additional, relevant experience may be substituted for education
    • Thorough understanding of SDLC and Scrum/Agile methodologies 
    • Nice-to-have skills:  Docker and Vagrant 
    • Candidate must be located in the DC Area (NOVA, MD, DC)
