Overview

Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking an Senior Architect Level II to provide technical support to a Veterans Affairs program.

 

Project Overview

 

The Clinical Knowledge Management (CKM) program is part of Veterans Affairs' Connected Health Office (CHO) that provides benefits and services to Veterans. A primary goal of the CHO is to design and implement user-friendly, high-quality mobile devices, software, and services for Veterans and their medical caregivers. Specifically, the CKM program ensures a seamless clinical, portfolio, architectural, and operational optimization of these mobile health applications.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Overview: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience.  VA enterprise architecture experience in a VA-sponsored environment is strongly preferred over generalized enterprise architecture experience. In addition, the candidate must be able to support PM- and technical-level tasks, to include preparing architectural diagrams, risk assessments, and producing white papers.

 
Ideal candidate will also be able to review architectural problems, suggest a set of technologies to address the problems, as well as identify gaps and provide custom development solutions. The candidate must have a deep engineering knowledge to accomplish these tasks, although the candidate will not be required to provide hands-on solutions, as the candidate will be functioning in an advisory role.   

 

General Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years in the field
  • Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

The senior architect must have extensive experience in:

  • Deep understanding of development in the VA's MAE, coupled with hands-on experience in Terremark's virtualized environment
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Services and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) 
  • Providing engineering knowledge expertise to assist mobile health application developers by identifying areas for improvement that are required for efficient clinical mobile health application functionality
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Experience with Git and distributed version control systems

The senior architect will also function as administrative lead for this group and provide project tracking support in JIRA. 

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Bacheor's degree in computer science, engineering, math or equivalent and 10 years of experience
  • 10 years of additional, relevant experience may be substituted for education

 

**Experience working in federal government environments is preferred.**
