Overview

Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a Software Engineer to provide on-site technical support to the Veterans Affairs (VA) administration. The successful candidate will support Office of Information Technology (OI&T) to identify and remediate existing and future vulnerabilities. The Software Engineer performs highly complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of distinct product hardware or applications.

Responsibilities

-Analyze and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.
-Plan and conduct major technical phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and the performance of assigned projects.
-Review completion and implementation of technical products and evaluate vendors’ capabilities. Work typically with little supervision.
-Assist with training less experienced software engineer staff.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to translate information and develop insights
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Experience in a variety of software programming languages
  • Experience in a variety of business systems and applications
  • Experience in designing, testing, debugging and documenting software
