Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst, Expert, to provide on-site technical support to the Veterans Affairs (VA) administration. The successful candidate will support the Office of Information Technology (OI&T) to identify and remediate existing and future vulnerabilities.

 

The Continuous Readiness in Information Security Protection (CRISP) program began as a VA-wide initiative launched in March 2012 to address MWs by concentrating on: 

 

  • Managing appropriate access control for users and reducing out-dated personnel clearances 
  • Testing contingency plans for data breaches 
  • Providing information security training for users, contractors, volunteers 
  • Developing initial baseline configurations 
  • Improving data-center web application security

Responsibilities

Cyber Security Analyst, Expert,  has extensive IT experience with Cyber Security policy and threat mitigation. Must be well versed in Cyber Security tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Analyst must posses a high level of expertise in developing long term strategies and be knowledgeable about various cyber threats and their mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required plus 15 years of experience
  • 12 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Demonstrates strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Must work well within a time-sensitive environment  

 

**Experience working in Federal Government environments is preferred.**
