Overview

Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a System Administrator (senior) to provide technical support to the Veterans Affairs (VA) administration in Hines, IL. 

 

The System Administrator (senior) will have experience with Windows, Linux, Liferay, Oracle, MQ, and WebSphere SSBI Investigation. The System Administrator will also have expertise in implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN/LAN and server architecture. This individual will also be responsible for administration of the network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy, and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations. Performing advanced analysis of network security needs and designs and integrates the installation of hardware and software.

 

  • 10 years with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent vocational school, technical training, or military training in a relevant field.
  • MCSA and Security+ and CISSP and CISM and CEH or LPT Certifications.
  • An Associates degree with 10 years Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a BA.
  • RHES, VMWare, RHN Satelite Server Administration, Bash Perl, and Powershell Scripting, Helix Administration and/or Database (MySQL or PostgreSQL, etc) support is a plus

Candidate for System Administrator (senior) must have a focus on one of the following:

 

Web application security testing; CEH or LPT, experience with BURP, APPSCAN

WASA Testing/Network Pen Testing/Phishing Testing/WASA training

The Continuous Readiness in Information Security Protection (CRISP) program began as a VA-wide initiative launched in March 2012 to address MWs by concentrating on: 

-Managing appropriate access control for users and reducing out-dated personnel clearances 
-Testing contingency plans for data breaches 
-Providing information security training for users, contractors, volunteers 
-Developing initial baseline configurations 
-Improving data-center web application security
